Salut queridos amigos e parceiros,

Aqui na Europa estamos nos encaminhando para o “final do ano” e os versículos 2 e 3 do Salmo 126 expressam exatamente as palavras que queremos dizer depois de 9 meses aqui na França: “Então a nossa boca encheu-se de riso, e a nossa língua de cantos de alegria. Até nas outras nações se dizia: "O Senhor fez coisas grandiosas por este povo". Sim, coisas grandiosas fez o Senhor por nós, por isso estamos alegres.” ALELUIA! No próximo mês estaremos de férias, mas antes disso, queremos compartilhar com vocês coisas maravilhosas que têm acontecido em nosso meio:

→ Atividades de destaque no mês de junho de 2018 ←

▪ No dia 05 de junho tivemos mais uma reunião da Réseau Jeunesse (Rede Jovem) na sede da Igreja

Protestante Unida em Paris. Esta rede é formada por pessoas de toda a França que, de alguma forma,

estão ligadas ao trabalho com jovens na Igreja Protestante Unida. Foi um encontro muito proveitoso, pois discutimos de forma bem franca e realista a grande dificuldade que a denominação tem em integrar a juventude de modo geral na sua vida comunitária local. Também tivemos a oportunidade de compartilhar o projeto executivo da Missão Jeepp, que colocaremos em prática a partir de setembro 2018 e que foi muito bem comentado por todos.

▪ No dia 14 de junho gravamos nossa 3ª emissão na rádio RCF (Rádio Cristã Francófona). Desde dezembro de 2017 fomos indicados para representar a Igreja Protestante Unida de Lyon numa equipe de pastores e líderes para este programa ecumênico da rádio. A ideia é que cada representante possa dar o seu ponto de vista sobre um determinado assunto, além de compartilhar um pouco de sua realidade dentro da sua denominação. Fazem parte da equipe: o pastor da igreja Anglicana de Lyon, o pastor da igreja Hillsong de Lyon, um padre e o líder de jovens de uma das comunidades Católicas de Lyon e nós dois. E os temas abordados até agora foram: 1º) Evangelização de jovens, 2º) Unidade da igreja Cristã; 3º) Louvor; e continuaremos em setembro falando sobre o lugar do jovem na igreja.

Aqui estão as atividades que desenvolvemos regularmente em JUNHO 2018:

→ Groupe étudiants et jeunes professionnels protestants (À Plus)

● No dia 04/06 realizamos junto com a Pastoral Católica Alive de Lyon uma noite de orações e cânticos Taizé. A noite foi uma bênção! Éramos 30 pessoas entre protestantes e católicos louvando à Deus em plena comunhão que se estendeu para um tempo de comunhão de mesa depois da reunião. Além disso, um casal de vizinhos da igreja veio por curiosidade e participou de toda a celebração... acreditamos que uma pequena semente foi plantada! Para que quem não conhece: A Comunidade de Taizé (pronuncia-se têzê) é uma comunidade ecumênica Cristã em Taizé - Borgonha - França e foi fundada em 1940. A vida na comunidade foca na oração e na meditação cristã e assim germinou um estilo único de música contemplativa que reflete a natureza meditativa da comunidade. A música de Taizé foca frases simples, usualmente linhas dos Salmos ou outro pedaço da Escritura, repetidas e algumas vezes cantadas em cânone e em várias línguas.

● No dia 11/06 fizemos um churrasco “francês” (linguiça, hambúrguer e pão) na nossa casa. Foi uma

maneira de reunir o pessoal para nos despedir dos dois estagiários noruegueses que estavam conosco

aqui este ano e que vão voltar logo para a Noruega.

→ Alpha Campus au Foyer Catholique St Bernard

● O Curso Alpha Campus na casa de estudantes chegou ao fim, nosso último encontro foi no dia 07/06 e por sugestão dos estudantes fizemos na nossa casa. Retomaremos esta atividade em setembro 2018.

Here in Europe we are moving towards the "end of the year" and verses 2 and 3 of the Psalm 126 express exactly the words we want to say after 9 months here in France: "Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy".

▪ On June 5 we had another meeting of the Réseau Jeunesse (Youth Network) at the Church's headquarters of the United Protestant Church in Paris. This network is made up of people from all over France who, in some way, are linked to working with youth in the church. It was a very fruitful meeting because we discussed in a very frank and realistic manner the great difficulty that the denomination has in integrating the youth in their local community life. We also had the opportunity to share the Mission Jeepp's Project, which we will implement in September 2018 and which has been very well commented by everybody.

▪ On June 14 we recorded our 3rd radio program on RCF radio (Francophone Christian Radio). Since December 2017 we were nominated to represent the United Protestant Church of Lyon in a team of pastors and leaders for this ecumenical radio program. The idea is that each representative can give his point view of a particular subject, in addition to sharing a little of their reality within their denomination. The team includes the pastor of the Anglican church in Lyon, the pastor of Hillsong Church in Lyon, a priest and the youth leader of one of the Catholic congragation in Lyon and the two of us. And the themes addressed so far were: 1) Evangelization of young people, 2) Unity of the Christian church; 3º) Worship; and we will continue in September talking about the place in the church for the youth.

Here are the activities we develop regularly in June 2018:

→ Groupe étudiants et jeunes professionnels protestants (À Plus)

● On June 4th, together with the Catholic Pastoral Alive, we held an evening of prayers and songs in Taizé's style. The event was a blessing! There were 30 people among Protestants and Catholics praising God in full communion that extended to a time of table fellowship after the meeting. Besides that, a couple of church neighbors came out for curiosity and participated in the whole celebration ... we believe a little seed was planted! For those who do not know: The Community of Taizé is an ecumenical Christian community in Taizé, (around 100 km north from Lyon) and was founded in 1940. Life in the community focuses on prayer and Christian meditation and thus germinated a unique style of contemplative music that reflects the meditative nature of the community. Taizé's music focuses on simple phrases, usually lines from the Psalms or another piece of Scripture, repeated and sometimes sung in canon and in various languages.

● On June 6th we made a "French" barbecue (sausage, hamburger and bread) in our house. It was one way to get people together to say goodbye to the two Norwegian interns, Marlene and Daniel, who were with us here this year and will soon return to Norway.

● The Alpha Campus Course in the Catholique Student House has came to an end, our last meeting was on June 7th and at the suggestion of the students we held it at our home. We will resume this activity in September 2018.
