Bonjour queridos amigos e parceiros na missão, 

Temos ótimas novidades para compartilhar com vocês! Depois de completarmos o primeiro ano letivo em Lyon e de curtir umas férias renovadoras em julho, voltamos muito focados para o reinício das atividades da missão. 

Como temos escrito desde que chegamos na França, estes primeiros meses aqui serviram para conhecermos a realidade da cidade e da igreja e para fazermos alguns testes, considerando as atividades com universitários e jovens profissionais. E pensando na expansão do alcance da missão, nós elaboramos um projeto que começaremos a colocar em prática a partir de setembro de 2018, tendo como base um novo local, o prédio da Igreja Luterana de Lyon (compartilhamos algumas imagens em nosso informativo de maio/2018).

Pensando nas atividades a serem realizadas no novo local, algumas mudanças fundamentais acontecerão: - O apartamento pastoral será transformado em uma república, onde morarão pessoas que de alguma forma estarão engajadas conosco no projeto. Neste primeiro ano já teremos os dois intercambistas brasileiros que trabalharão meio período na missão, o novo estagiário da Igreja Anglicana de Lyon e uma jovem da região que vem fazer seus estudos em Lyon. - O templo da Igreja Luterana terá sua configuração modificada. Além disso, existe outra peça que está sendo reformada para se tornar nosso escritório no local.

→ Projeto prático para 2018-2019 ← 

A Missão começará suas atividades oficialmente no dia 17 de setembro de 2018, quando será realizada uma grande festa para o lançamento do projeto. Neste momento serão apresentadas as atividades a Missão propõe aos estudantes. 

1. Permanência 3 dias por semana: segundas, terças e quartas-feiras das 15h-18h na igreja Luterana. Está sendo preparado um lugar acolhedor com mesas, sofás, internet, lugar para carregar celular, alguma coisa para comer e beber (ver imagens no informativo de maio 2018). A ideia é que possamos receber as pessoas e assim termos a possibilidade de estabelecer relacionamentos e oportunidades de compartilhar o Evangelho. Além disso, durante este período estaremos à disposição das pessoas para aconselhamento espiritual e também ofereceremos conversação se inglês e francês. 

A permanência será feita com a ajuda dos estagiários brasileiros que virão à Lyon pela NMS. Com o tempo, queremos criar um café associativo, ou seja, venda de comida (cafés, bolos, etc.) a um preço acessível aos estudantes.

2. Grupo Universitários e Jovens Profissionais (À PLUS): Este é o grupo base do projeto. Os encontros continuarão todas as segundas-feiras das 19h30 à 22h com a mesma configuração que tem hoje. A única diferença é que nas noites onde propomos um tempo espiritual onde comemos, temos um tempo de louvor, oração e discussão sobre um tema da fé cristã (1ª, 3ª e 5ª segunda do mês) nós iremos fazer o Curso Alpha Campus que acabará em março. E nas outras segundas (2ª e 4ª) do mês os encontros são mais conviviais e de aprofundamento das relações com comida, jogos, etc.

3. Trabalho Ecumênico: A partir de setembro recomeçaremos o curso Alpha Campus na casa de estudantes católica Saint-Bernard que acontecerá todas as terças-feiras a noite e continuaremos também o trabalho que fazemos em parceria com a Universidade Católica de Lyon (UCLy) – ainda em processo de definição - as atividades na Universidade provavelmente acontecerão as quartas-feiras a noite. 

4. Outras atividades: Além dessas atividades fixas nós temos : ● Nas sextas-feiras, a cada 2 semanas, reunião com pastores da região de Lyon ● Nos sábados acontecem os grupos de jovens nas comunidades, dos quais podemos participar esporadicamente para criar vínculos com os adolescentes  ● Nós iremos fazer cultos da missão com os universitários a cada 2 meses, nas diferentes comunidades da denominação em Lyon (o primeiro está agendado para 18 de novembro) ● Reunião com o grupo de acompanhamento uma vez por mês.

E para que tudo isso esteja preparado até setembro, já estamos trabalhando duro: - Coletando e organizando os móveis doados por pessoas das comunidades para a república; - Removendo os bancos e organizando o novo espaço no templo da igreja com a ajuda dos jovens do grupo e de voluntários das igrejas; - Elaborando os materiais de divulgação da missão; - Realizando reuniões para decidir questões chave do projeto.

We have great news to share with you! After completing our first school year in Lyon and enjoying a refreshing vacation in July, we returned very focused for continuing the mission activities.

As we have written since we arrived in France, these first few months here have served to get to know the reality of the city and of the church and to do some tests, considering the activities with university students and young professionals. And thinking of expanding the outreach of the mission, we have developed a project that we will start putting into practice from September 2018 on the basis of a new site, the building of the Lutheran Church of Lyon.

Thinking about the activities to be carried out in the new place, some fundamental changes will happen:

- The pastoral apartment will be transformed into a collocation, where people who will live there will somehow be engaged with us in the project. In this first year we will have the two Brazilian exchange students (NMS U-Crew interns) who will work part time in the mission, the new trainee of the Anglican Church of Lyon and two young girls from the region who study in Lyon.

- The chapel of the Lutheran Church will have its configuration modified. In addition, there is another room that is being renewed to become our on-site office.

→ Practical project for 2018-2019 ←

The Mission will begin its activities officially on September 17, 2018, when a big party will be held for the launch of the project. At this moment we will presented the activities the Mission proposes to the students.

 1. Permanences 3 days a week: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Lutheran church. A cozy place is being prepared with tables, sofas, internet, electricity plugs to charge cell phone, something to eat and drink. The idea is that we can receive people and thus have the possibility to establish relationships and opportunities to share the Gospel. In addition, during this period we will be available to people for spiritual counseling and we will also offer conversation in English and French. The permanences will happen with the help of the Brazilian. Over time, we want to create an associative café, that is, selling food (coffees, cakes, etc.) at an affordable price to students.

2. University Students and Young Professionals Group (À PLUS): This is the project's base group. The meetings will continue every Monday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with the same configuration it has today. The only difference is that on the evenings where we offer the devotional time which we eat, we have a time of praise, prayer and discussion on a theme of the Christian faith (1st, 3rd and 5th Monday of the month) we will do the Alpha Campus Course that will end in March 2019. And on the other Mondays of the month (2nd and 4th), the meetings are more convivial with the objective of deepening relationships and having food, games, etc.

3. Ecumenical work: Starting in September, we will re-start the Alpha Campus Course at Saint Bernard's Catholic students' house, which will be held every Tuesday evening and we will continue the work we do in partnership with the Catholic University of Lyon (UCLy) still in the process of being defined - University activities are likely to take place on Wednesdays evenings.

4. Other activities: In addition to these fixed activities we have: ● On Fridays, every two weeks, meeting with pastors from the region of Lyon ● On Saturdays the youth groups, in which we can participate sporadically to create links with the teenagers ● We will be organizing mission services with the university students every 2 months in the different congregations of the Protestant Church in Lyon (the first is scheduled for November 18) ● Meeting with the Follow Up group once a month.

And so that all this is prepared until September, we are already working hard:

- Collecting and organizing the furniture donated by people from the congregations for the collocation;

- Removing the benches and organizing the new space in the church chapel with the help of the young people of the group and volunteers of the churches;

- Elaborating the advertising materials of the mission;

- Conducting meetings to decide on key issues of the project.
