Informativo Projeto França – Maio e junho de 2020

Salut queridos parceiros,
Neste tempo de dificuldades e incertezas para a Igreja ao redor do mundo inteiro, compartilhamos com vocês um pouco do que temos vivido nos últimos meses.
→ O fim do confinamento na França ←
Foram 55 dias de isolamento quase completo e ainda vivemos as consequências da pandemia por aqui, mas tentamos perceber a graça de Deus em tudo isto. Hoje a situação na França parece controlada. Na última semana houve uma média de 22 mortos/dia, mas o número de novas infeções não cresce mais exponencialmente. Sobre a volta à “vida normal”, como mencionamos no informativo precedente, isto está se dando de forma progressiva. Aqui em Lyon, algumas comunidades voltaram a realizar cultos presenciais a partir do dia 31/5. Mas as restrições ainda são grandes para os locais de culto: as pessoas precisam manter uma distância de 1 metro entre elas, sempre usando máscara no interior do templo e desinfetando as mãos ao entrar. Após o uso do espaço, todo o material utilizado, os bancos e os banheiros também precisam ser desinfetados. Por conta de toda esta mobilização, decidimos realizar nossos encontros fora do templo. Falamos sobre isso mais abaixo, na descrição das atividades.

→ Atividades regulares da Mission Jeepp ←
1. Grupo A Plus – Universitários e Jovens Profissionais – Finalmente deixamos de ser carinhas em uma tela para nos encontrarmos de verdade. Retomamos os encontros presenciais no dia 8/6 e a cada semana nos encontramos em um local diferente da cidade; isto proporciona àqueles que chegaram há pouco tempo em Lyon de conhecer um pouco onde moram. Mesmo vivendo esta situação complicada nos últimos meses, Deus tem enviado novas pessoas: recebemos um novo jovem no grupo ainda no mês de junho. Para o dia 28/6 teremos um encontro online, para marcarmos a despedida de nossos voluntários Gabriel e Kevin, o qual será conduzido por eles. E para o dia 6/7, dia do aniversário do Mateus, faremos um churrasco de fim de ano no jardim de uma das comunidades de Lyon. Essa será a oportunidade de nos despedirmos de todos aqueles que partirão durante o verão.

2. Permanências – Reabrimos a igreja no dia 8/6 e temos feito a permanência somente na segunda-feira, devido à toda a incerteza destes tempos e também às restrições para estar dentro dos locais de culto.
3. Maison d’Unité – Concluímos as atividades oficiais da Maison d’Unité no dia 26/5, e infelizmente não conseguimos realizar o retiro previsto para o final do ano letivo. Os participantes foram convidados a integrarem as atividades do grupo À Plus no mês de junho. Como as aulas presenciais nas universidades só recomeçarão em setembro, alguns dos estudantes não voltarão para Lyon até lá. Contudo, destacamos a grande riqueza deste primeiro ano do trabalho e o verdadeiro crescimento dos participantes por poder discutir a partir de pontos de vista muito diversos. E desde o mês de maio a Maison d’Unité está com as suas inscrições abertas para o próximo ano letivo. Cada interessado passa por uma entrevista com alguém da equipe organizadora, para explicar suas motivações em participar do programa e para serem esclarecidas suas responsabilidades durante ano. Já temos dois nomes selecionados.
4. Acompanhamentos – Recomeçamos a encontrar fisicamente as pessoas, algumas têm vindo à nossa casa, outros temos ido visitar, mas temos dado preferência para encontrar as pessoas na rua, para dar uma caminhada ou tomar um café, já que os dias estão mais quentes e temos luz do sol até quase 22h.

→ Grupo de ação: Nos reunimos com os jovens no dia 16/6 para conversar sobre as atividades para o próximo ano letivo e a festa de recomeço que acontecerá no dia 14 de setembro. A partir de setembro, contaremos com uma ajuda ainda maior deste grupo e um ponto importante será a formação que iremos fazer para prepara-los para a organização e condução dos encontros. No momento, eles também estão nos ajudando a desenvolver um vídeo sobre a Mission Jeepp.
→ Grupo de Acompanhamento: Tivemos nossa última reunião no dia 19/6, para concluir os preparativos para a o dia da Mission Jeepp, que acontecerá no dia 17 de outubro. Este evento estava previsto para 18 de abril, mas teve que ser cancelado. O objetivo desse dia é compartilhar a visão do projeto aos líderes e membros das comunidades de Lyon. Além disso, será um tempo de discutirmos os caminhos para futuro do trabalho missionário aqui. Um fato importante sobre o Grupo de Acompanhamento é que alguns dos participantes ocuparão posições estratégicas na formação dos novos presbitérios, o que acontecerá a partir de setembro. No momento, este grupo também está nos auxiliando a desenvolver um material explicativo sobre a Mission Jeepp, visando uma melhor compreensão da missão por parte dos membros das paróquias protestantes de Lyon.
→ Acompanhamentos para batismo e casamento: Os encontros com Anthony foram concluídos em maio, e a data de seu batismo ficou marcada para o dia 30 de agosto. Concluímos também os encontros de acompanhamento para o casamento de Morgan e Vincenzo. Ela americana, ele italiano, tinham previsto de casarem em maio deste ano, mas por causa da pandemia preferiram reagendar a data da cerimônia para setembro de 2021.
→ Fatos importantes ←
→ Partida dos voluntários: No dia 4/7 nós nos despediremos de nossos queridos voluntários da NMS Gabriel e Kevin, que deixarão de colaborar com a Mission Jeepp. Eles passaram 7 meses em Lyon, tiveram que voltar ao Brasil por causa da pandemia, e seguiram trabalhando à distância mais 3 meses conosco. Eles nos ajudaram muito este ano, principalmente a colocar em dia algumas tarefas que estavam atrasadas e a avançar os preparativos para o próximo ano letivo. Muito obrigado Gabriel e Kevin, somos gratos a Deus por suas vidas e oramos para que Deus abençoe vocês em seus novos caminhos!
→ Situação de nossos vistos: Nossos vistos venceram em abril e já tínhamos uma data marcada para a renovação para o dia 29 de junho. Com o confinamento na França, todos os horários marcados para renovação de vistos foram cancelados. Aguardamos o contato da prefeitura para uma nova data.
→ Live da Missão Zero: Para o dia 8/7 fomos convidados por Mauro Westphal, coordenador da Missão Zero, para participar de uma Live com nossos parceiros e amigos do Brasil. Como em 2020 não retornaremos ao nosso país, esta será uma oportunidade de compartilharmos sobre o desenvolvimento da missão no último ano. O evento está agendado para às 19h (horário de Brasília), no endereço https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qRKD9XGsx4 .
Ao avaliarmos esse período de confinamento, os acompanhamentos espirituais e os encontros online que fizemos, podemos dizer que eles tiveram um impacto muito positivo. Não somente pelo fato de estarmos semanalmente em contato, mas também pelo fato de que nós pudemos nos sustentar mutualmente durante esse tempo de incertezas e dificuldades. Vale lembrar que, muitos do nosso público moram sozinhos e também em espaços muito pequenos. Este contato próximo com os jovens, que já acontecia antes do confinamento e que se mantém depois, tem sido um ponto muito importante de nosso ministério, e eles estão muito agradecidos por isto, os frutos são visíveis: alguns que não criam passaram a nos ligar para lermos a Bíblia e orarmos juntos; outros começaram a ler a Bíblia e até propuseram que fizéssemos um grupo de estudos; há também quem pense em fazer estudos de teologia no futuro.
→ Férias de verão: Sairemos de férias no dia 17 de julho e ficaremos na França. Quando retornarmos, nós nos dedicaremos na finalização da preparação das atividades para o novo ano letivo.

Hello dear partners,
In this time of difficulties and uncertainties for the Church around the world, we share with you some of what we have experienced in the recent months.
→ The end of the confinement in France ←
It was 55 days of almost complete isolation and we still live the consequences of the pandemic around here, but we try to realize the grace of God in all this. Today the situation in France seems under control. In the last week there has been an average of 22 deaths/day, but the number of new infections does not grow more exponentially.
On the return to "normal life", as mentioned in the previous newsletter, this is happening progressively. Here in Lyon, some congregations have resumed gatherings in person since May 31st. But there are still strong restrictions for places of worship: people need to maintain a distance of 1 meter between them, always wearing a mask inside the temple and disinfecting their hands when entering. After the use of the space, all the material used, the benches and the toilets also need to be disinfected. Because of all this mobilization, we decided to hold our meetings outside the temple. We talk about this further below, in the description of the activities.
→ Regular activities of Mission Jeepp ←
1. A Plus Group - University Students and Young Professionals - Finally we stopped being faces on a screen to meet for real. We resumed the face-to-face meetings on June 8th and each week we met in a different place of the city; this provides those who have just arrived in Lyon to know a little better where they live. Even living this difficult situation in recent months, God has sent new people: we received a new young person in the group in June. On June 28th, we will hold an online gathering, to say farewell to our volunteers Gabriel and Kevin, which will be led by them. And on July 6th, for Mateus’ birthday, we will organize a end-of-year barbecue in the garden of one of the congregations of Lyon. This will be the opportunity to say goodbye to all those who will leave during the summer.
2. Permanences - We reopened the church on June 8th and we have only been doing that on Mondays, due to all the uncertainty of these times and also the restrictions to be inside the churches.
3. Maison d'Unité - We finished the official activities of the Maison d'Unité on May 26th, and unfortunately we were unable to carry out the retreat scheduled for the end of the school year. Participants were invited to join the À Plus group activities in June. As face-to-face classes at universities will not resume until September, some of the students will not return to Lyon until then. However, we highlight the great richness of this first year of work and the true growth of the participants to be able to discuss from very diverse points of view. And from May the Maison d'Unité has its applications open for the next school year. Each interested person goes through an interview with someone from the organizing team, to explain their motivation to participate in the program and to clarify their responsibilities during the year. We already have two selected participants.
4. Personal Follow-up - We started again to physically meet people, some have come to our house, others we have gone to visit, but we have given preference to meet people outside, to go for a walk or to have a coffee, since the days are warmer and we have sunlight until almost 22h.
→ Extra Activities ←
→ Action group: We met with the youth on June 16th to talk about the activities for the next school year and the beginning of the year party that will take place on September 14th. Starting in September, we will have even greater help from this group and an important point will be the training we will be doing, to prepare them for the organization and leadership during the gatherings. At this moment, they are also helping us to develop a video about Mission Jeepp.
→Follow-up Group: We had our last meeting on June 19th to complete preparations for Mission Jeepp Day, which will take place on October 17th. This event was scheduled for April 18th, but had to be cancelled. The goal of this day is to share the vision of the project to the leaders and members of the Protestant congregation in Lyon. In addition, it will be a time to discuss about the mission work here in the future. An important fact about the Follow-uo Group is that some of the participants will take strategic positions in the formation of the new parish councils, which will happen from September. At the moment, this group is also helping us to develop an explanatory material about Mission Jeepp, aiming at a better understanding of the mission by the members of the of the Protestant parishes of Lyon.

The meetings with Anthony were finished in May, and the date of his baptism was set for August 30th. We also concluded the follow-up meetings for Morgan and Vincenzo’s wedding. She American, he Italian, had planned to marry in May this year, but because of the pandemic they preferred to reschedule the ceremony date to September 2021.
→ Important Facts ←
→Departure of the volunteers: On July 4th we will say goodbye to our beloved NMS volunteers Gabriel and Kevin, who will no longer collaborate with Mission Jeepp. They spent 7 months in Lyon, had to return to Brazil because of the pandemic, and continued working from afar another 3 months with us. They helped us a lot this year, mainly to catch up on some tasks that were late and to advance preparations for the next school year. Thank you very much Gabriel and Kevin, we are grateful to God for your lives and pray that God will bless you in your new ways!
→Status of our Visas: Our Visas expired in April and we already had a date for the renewal appointment for June 29th. With the confinement in France, all visa renewal appointments were canceled. We are waiting to hear from the prefecture for a new date.
→Live broadcast from Missão Zero: For July 8th we were invited by Mauro Westphal, coordinator of Missão Zero, to participate in a live with our partners and friends in Brazil. Since we will not return to our country in 2020, this will be the opportunity to share about the development of the mission work over the past year, the event is scheduled to 19h (Brazilia time) at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qRKD9XGsx4 .
As we evaluate this period of confinement, the spiritual follow-up and the online gatherings we have had, we can say that they have had a very positive impact. Not only because we were in weekly contact, but also because we were able to support each other during this time of uncertainties and difficulties. It is worth remembering that, many of our public live alone in very small spaces. This close contact with the youth, which was already taking place before the confinement and which is maintained afterwards, has been a very important point in our ministry, and they are very grateful for this, the fruits are visible: some who did not believe have started to call us to pray together; others have started to read the Bible and even proposed that we do a study group; there are also those who think of doing theology studies in the future.
→Summer Holidays: We will go on vacation on July 17th and stay in France. When we return, we will dedicate ourselves to finalizing the preparation of the activities for the new school year.
