Informativo Projeto França – janeiro e fevereiro de 2021

Bonjour queridos amigos! Compartilhamos com vocês nossas notícias da França:

→ Atualização sobre a situação da pandemia no país ←

A situação na França não é a mais grave na Europa neste momento. Contudo, devido ao surgimento das variantes do vírus, o governo tem agido com cautela tentando evitar uma explosão de novos casos. Agora no fim de fevereiro, temos uma média de novos casos muito próxima da média no final de dezembro (cerca de 20 mil novos casos por dia). Assim, as principais medidas tomadas nestes 2 últimos meses foi a decisão de não começar um novo confinamento, mas estender o horário do toque de recolher: desde de 16 de janeiro ele começa às 18h e vai até 6h. Além disso, os restaurantes e todos estabelecimentos relacionados à cultura e esportes permanecem fechados. E no início de fevereiro os centros comerciais de mais de 20 mil m2 também estão proibidos de abrir. Com relação ao ritmo das vacinações, ele ainda é lento: dos mais de 67 milhões de habitantes, somente cerca de 2,5 milhões receberam a primeira dose da vacina e cerca de 1,5 milhão as duas doses. Devido a tudo isto, ainda é muito cedo para prevermos os próximos meses e o grande desafio para nós no trabalho missionário tem sido prepara as atividades a longo prazo, pois praticamente todas as semanas precisamos repensar a forma de organizar nossos encontros.

1. Grupo de Estudantes e Jovens Profissionais (À PLUS) – Continuamos com nossos encontros online, nos domingos à tarde, o que tem possibilitado a todos aqueles que não estão em Lyon, incluindo os que estão em outros países, de participarem dos encontros. Em janeiro começamos a leitura bíblica acompanhada (La Bible pour les Cools), com a proposta de leitura do livro de Atos do Apóstolos. Acontecerão 7 encontros deste tipo até maio e a proposta é lermos para cada encontro os capítulos propostos do livro. Quando nos encontramos, aprofundamos o estudo por meio das perguntas dos participantes, com o auxílio de alguns vídeos e outros textos. Com o grupo A Plus também começaremos a organizar o próximo culto da Mission Jeepp, que acontecerá no dia 14 de março em Villefranche, uma cidade próxima de Lyon.

2. Maison d'Unité – Também continuamos com os encontros da Maison d’Unité online. Tivemos a oportunidade de participar ativamente da celebração de encerramento da semana de oração pela unidade cristã, no dia 24 de janeiro. Também junto com o grupo, nos comprometemos a participar uma vez por mês de uma celebração em uma igreja cristã diferente – dia 31 de janeiro fomos à missa em uma igreja católica. A próxima visita está prevista para a igreja Ortodoxa, a confirmar.

 Neste momento, estamos preparando o fim de semana do Curso Alpha, sobre o Espírito Santo, para os dias 6 e 7 de março. E nesta semana recebemos o primeiro e-mail de uma jovem interessada em participar do programa no próximo ano letivo, o que nos enche de alegria e esperança.

3. Acompanhamentos e permanências – Com todas as restrições de contato impostas para tentar conter a pandemia na França, percebemos a necessidade de encontrar os jovens pessoalmente. Por isso reabrimos as permanências no início de janeiro. Além disso, tentamos encontrar os jovens que não podem vir à igreja na segunda à tarde em um outro momento durante a semana. Temos conseguido encontrar 2-3 pessoas por semana e também contatamos outros por mensagem e telefone o que percebemos que tem sido de grande auxílio para aqueles que sofrem mais com a solidão.

→ Equipe de discernimento e comité de pilotagem: Pensando na continuação do trabalho missionário depois de dezembro de 2022, quando está previsto nossa saída de Lyon, o conselho das comunidades protestantes locais formou um grupo para discernir sobre o pastor ou missionário que irá nos substituir. Esse grupo também vai pensar sobre o melhor local para dar continuidade ao trabalho da missão e também sobre a melhor estrutura jurídica para acolher este ministro dentro da Igreja Protestante Unida. Então, no dia 15 de janeiro nos reunimos com este grupo e demos a nossa colaboração ao trabalho já realizado até o momento. Continuamos discutindo sobre este assunto com nosso comitê de pilotagem, o grupo gestor do projeto, no dia 26 de janeiro. Ficamos muito contentes em perceber que estas pessoas responsáveis compreenderam a visão do trabalho e estão engajadas em continuar o que já foi construído até aqui.

→ Fim de semana com grupos de adolescentes: Uma das novas atividades que queremos propor neste ano letivo são encontros comuns entre os diferentes grupos de adolescentes das comunidades de Lyon, a serem organizados junto com os jovens adultos com quem trabalhamos e também com os responsáveis destes diferentes grupos. A ideia inicial era realizar 2 encontros durante o primeiro semestre de 2021, porém, com toda a situação da pandemia e em discussão com os responsáveis dos grupos de adolescentes, a decisão neste momento é de transformar o encontro em um fim de semana com os adolescentes, a ser realizado no início do mês de junho. Então, durante estes meses, estamos pensando, junto com a equipe de organização em possibilidades e alternativas para podermos realizar este encontro.

→ Contato com Agapé Campus Lyon: Esta é uma outra organização cristã que trabalha com universitários, talvez mais no estilo do que é a ABU (Aliança Bíblica Universitária) no Brasil. Tivemos uma reunião com dois dos responsáveis da equipe em Lyon para, neste primeiro momento, nos conhecermos e sabermos mais sobre o trabalho de nossas organizações. Este é um dos objetivos do projeto em Lyon, estudar a possibilidade de trabalhar em parceria com outras missões cristãs que foquem no público de jovens adultos. Esperamos que, ao término da pandemia, possamos colaborar com algum tipo de parceria para trabalharmos na missão em conjunto, visto que eles já atuam dentro de algumas universidades.

→ Participação de jovens nos presbitérios das comunidades: Como forma de promover maior integração entre as gerações nós indicamos nossos jovens para fazerem parte de seus presbitérios das comunidades. Isso já havia ocorrido naturalmente em uma das comunidades ainda em 2020, onde um de nossos jovens já está integrado. Nossa ideia então, é que este espaço de responsabilidade para os jovens acabe sendo criado gradativamente e de forma natural. Assim, uma segunda comunidade já recebeu um outro jovem em sua reunião de fevereiro, e seguimos motivando as demais paróquias a fazerem o mesmo.

Mission Jeepp Newsletter – January and February 2021

Bonjour dear friends! We share with you our News from France:

→ Update about the pandemic situation in the country ←
The situation in France is not the most serious in Europe at the moment. However, due to the emergence of variants of the virus, the government has been cautious in trying to prevent an explosion of new cases. Now at the end of February, we have an average of new cases very close to the average at the end of December (about 20 thousand new cases per day). Thus, the main measures taken in the past 2 months were the decision not to start a new confinement, but to extend the curfew time: from 16 January it starts at 6 pm and runs until 6 am. In addition, restaurants and all establishments related to culture and sports remain closed. And in early February, shopping centers of more than 20,000 m2 are also prohibited from opening. Regarding the rate of vaccinations, it is still slow: of the more than 67 million inhabitants, only about 2.5 million received the first dose of the vaccine and about 1.5 million the two doses. Because of it all, it is still too early to predict the coming months and the great challenge for us in the missionary work has been to prepare long-term activities, as practically every week we need to rethink the way we organize our meetings.

1. Group of Students and Young Professionals (À PLUS) – We continue with our online gatherings on Sunday afternoons, which has enabled all those who are not in Lyon, including those in other countries, to participate. In January we started the group Bible reading (La Bible pour les Cools), with the proposal to read the book of Acts of the Apostles. There will be 7 meetings of this type until May and the proposal is to read the proposed chapters of the book for each meeting. When we met, we deepen the study through the participants' questions, with the help of some videos and other texts. With the A Plus group we will also start organizing the next Mission Jeepp worship service, which will take place on March 14 in Villefranche, a city near Lyon.  

2. Maison d'Unité – We also continue with the Maison d’Unité meetings online. We had the opportunity to actively participate in the closing celebration of the week of prayer for Christian unity on January 24th. Also with the group, we planned to participate once a month in a celebration in a different Christian church - on January 31 we went to mass in a Catholic church. The next visit is scheduled for the Orthodox church, to be confirmed.

At this moment, we are preparing the weekend of the Alpha Course, on the Holy Spirit, for the 6th and 7th of March. And this week we received the first email from a young woman interested in participating in the program for the next school year, which fills us with joy and hope.

3. Follow-ups and permanences – With all the contact restrictions imposed to try to contain the pandemic in France, we realized the need to meet young people in person. That is why we reopened the permanences in early January. In addition, we try to meet the youth who cannot come to church on Monday afternoon at a different time during the week. We have managed to meet 2-3 people a week and we have also contacted others by message and telephone which we have found has been of great help to those who suffer most from loneliness.

→ Discernment team and steering committee: Thinking about the continuation of missionary work after December 2022, when we will leave Lyon, the council of the local Protestant congregations formed a group to discern the pastor or missionary who will replace us. This group will also think about the best place to continue the mission's work and also about the best legal structure to welcome this minister into the United Protestant Church. Then, on January 15th, we met with this group and gave our collaboration to the work already done so far. We continue to discuss this issue with our steering committee, the project management group, on January 26th. We are very happy to realize that these responsible people have understood the vision of the work and are committed to continuing what has been built so far.

→ Weekend with groups of teenagers: One of the new activities that we want to propose this year are common meetings for the different groups of teenagers from the Protestant congregations of Lyon, to be organized together with the young adults with whom we work and also with the leaders of these different groups. The initial idea was to hold 2 meetings during the first semester of 2021, however, with the whole situation of the pandemic and under discussion with those people for the groups of teenagers, the decision at this point is to transform the meeting into a weekend with the teenagers , to be held at the beginning of June. So, during these months, we are thinking, together with the organization team, about possibilities and alternatives for us to be able to hold this gathering.

→ Contact with Agapé Campus Lyon: This is another Christian organization that works with university students, perhaps more in style than is ABU (Biblical University Alliance - IFES) in Brazil. We had a meeting with two of the team responsible in Lyon to, in this first moment, get to know each other and learn more about the work of our organizations. This is one of the objectives of the project in Lyon, to study the possibility of working in partnership with other Christian missions that focus on young adults. We hope that, at the end of the pandemic, we will be able to collaborate with some kind of partnership to work on the mission together, since they already work within some universities.

→ Participation of young people in congegations councils: As a way to promote greater integration between the generations, we suggested our young people to be part of their congregations councils. This had already occurred naturally in one of the congregations in the beginning fo 2020, where one boy is already integrated. Our idea, then, is that this space of responsibility for young people ends up being created gradually and naturally. Thus, a second council has already received another young person at its February meeting, and we continue to motivate the other parishes to do the same.

Camp de Lycéens - Février 2019 Em fevereiro acompanhamos o acampamento de adolescentes que a Igreja Protestante Unida de Lyon organiza anualmente com a Igreja Católica na comunidade de Taizé, uma comunidade monástica ecumênica que dedica grande parte de seu trabalho à juventude. Esta comunidade é muito conhecida na Europa e chega a juntar mais de 5 mil pessoas simultaneamente em seus acampamentos de verão.  _______________     _______________ In February, we accompany the youth camp that the United Protestant Church of Lyon organizes annually with the Catholic Church in the Taizé community, an ecumenical monastic community that devotes much of its work to youth. This community is well-known in Europe and brings together over 5,000 people simultaneously in their summer camps.

Pequeno Relatório - Março/2017

Culto da Comunidade Encontro, em São José/SC na grande Florianópolis. No início de março chegamos a São José/SC, para realizar um estágio de observação na Comunidade Encontro , que foi recentemente plantada (o processo começou em 2015). A comunidade se reúne em um hotel e possui 2 horários de culto por domingo. Simultaneamente, acontecem o culto infantil e o encontro de adolescentes, chamado de Sub 15. Nessas atividades dominicais, a Encontro já reúne mais de 300 pessoas. Além disso, durante a semana os membros se reúnem em pequenos grupos nas casas. Tivemos também um tempo muito bom para conversar com os pastores Sigolf Greuel e Rúben Thiem (que inclusive se formou na Fatev conosco) e outros líderes sobre as iniciativas da comunidade e seu processo de contextualização da mensagem, o que tem conseguido alcançar pessoas diferentes, muitos dos quais não tinham nenhuma convivência anterior em um ambiente cristão e mesmo nenhum conhecimento bíblico.
