Since March our routine was more fixed, keeping the same responsibilities and the French classes normally. What we did differently was to go to a 3-day camp for teenagers and also to record a radio program. In this program we talked about mission and we talked about the reasons to be in France.
In France, besides school vacations in July and August there are other 2 week-vacations in October, 2 in December, 2 in February and 2 in April - usually the employees have the right of one week in the summer and one week in each of these other periods - making 7 - 8 weeks of vacation during the year. Because of that we could travel in January and also in April. From April 7th to 10th we went to Venice and we could enjoy this wonderful place.
From Venice we went straight to Paris for some meetings with the head of the Protestant United Church, with NMS and Missão Zero to talk about the possibility of a future project to work in France. It was our 4th time in Paris, we stayed there from April 10th to April 14th. Besides many meetings we took the oportunity to walk around with Liliane, the project coordinator of Missão Zero, who came for the meetings and also to see us.
Back to Nantes we run the first service at the home for elderly people. On April 29th two representatives of the United Protestant Church came to us for an evaluation of our work and an interview. Right after that, on the same day, there was a celebration for the reinauguration of the church building, after all the renovation work - finally all the noise was gone.
Obs: On April 17th someone broke into our apartment and stole one of our laptops - because of that we lost almost all the pictures we took since we arrived in Europe.
