Mariana nasceu no dia 19 de janeiro de 1980 em Florianópolis, SC. Durante a infância e a adolescência morou também algumas cidades do Alto Vale do Rio Itajaí e 1 ano no Rio de Janeiro. Foi para Curitiba em 2005 estudar teologia na Fatev. Trabalhou muito tempo na área administrativa-financeira e tem uma pós graduação em Finanças e Controladoria.

Mateus também nasceu em 1980, dia 06 de julho, em Pelotas, RS. Morou no sul do sul do Brasil até o início de 2004 e perambulou muito por aquela região e pela zona rural (também morou em São Paulo por 1 ano durante a infância). Foi para a capital paranaense para estudar na Fatev e lá trabalhou nas áreas de design e informática até julho de 2006, quando participou de um intercâmbio com o Hald International Center, na Noruega. Ao voltar para Curitiba começou a dar aulas de inglês e posteriormente a desenvolver materiais didáticos para o estudo da língua.

Mariana e Mateus começaram a estudar na mesma turma no segundo semestre de 2007. Iniciaram o relacionamento em agosto de 2008 e casaram em novembro de 2009. Mudaram para Passo Fundo, RS, em agosto de 2012. Nesse tempo, até junho de 2015, Mariana foi pastora e coordenadora ministerial da Igreja Missionária Luterana Fé e Vida. Mateus ajudou na igreja como voluntário e, nesse período, seguiu trabalhando como designer e professor de inglês, além de concluir Mestrado em Letras.

Mariana was born on January 19, 1980 in Florianópolis, SC. During childhood and adolescence she also lived some cities in the High Valley of Itajaí River and one year in Rio de Janeiro. She went to Curitiba in 2005 to study theology at Fatev. She worked a long time in the administrative and financial area and has a post graduate degree in Finances and Controlling.

Mateus was also born in 1980, July 06, in Pelotas, RS. He lived in the southern southern Brazil until early 2004 and traveled a lot around that region and the countryside (also lived in São Paulo for 1 year during childhood). He went to Curitiba to study at Fatev and there worked in the areas of design and computing until July 2006, when he took part at an exchange with Hald International Centre in Norway. When he returned to Curitiba he started teachng English classes and then to develop teaching materials for language study.

Mariana and Mateus began studying in the same class in the second half of 2007. They began their relationship in August 2008 and married in November 2009. They moved to Passo Fundo/RS, in August 2012. At that time, until June 2015, Mariana was the  pastor and ministerial coordinator of Lutheran Missionary Church Faith and Life. Mateus helped in the church as a volunteer and in this period continued to work as a designer and English teacher, and completed his Master Degree in Language Science.
